Procrastinators Corner, Tennis / 28.04.2016

Youtube user Raz Ols pulled together some funny tennis points together and created a video. While yes some are funny, something different came to my mind. The words resilient and competitive. What these athletes have shown is how hard the compete for each and every point and are not willing to give up at any moment. That's probably one of my personal favorite aspects of tennis. Granted watching Gael Monfils run after a ball with no racquet is hilarious, it's also a perfect example...

They say imitation is the sincerest form of flattery. I would agree with that. The team at Verb Cabin have put together a very Candide Thovex type edit to promote the Pain Mcshlonkey Classic. The classic is held in honor of Shane McConkey to raise money for his foundation. In it's sixth year the classic is held at Squaw Valley in California. These guys could be the Weird Al of edits if they wanted to. ...

Youtube user Pleasant Green uploaded a video showing that you don't need snow anymore to ski. That's right. No more snow. What they substituted in place of snow are those ever so hot hover boards from 2015. It's all in fun and games, no one got an eye poked out but it's still fun to see peoples reaction as he goes about the resort and even parts of town. Check out how to ski without snow! OH, and did I mention this whole video...

Going to Ikea is always a fun trip. The giant warehouse, meatballs and the endless maze of home decorations make for an extra fun trip for Nicolay Ramm and Robin Bryntesson. Ramm was challenged to a biathlon by Bryntesson after the "great Norwegian surprise"; in an Ikea store. I'm pretty sure most shoppers that day got far more that their usual Ikea experience. Follow more of the two rivals here. ...

I've posted a video like this before and they never get old. There's something about the universal types of players we all encounter anywhere the game is played. The team over at Essential Tennis did a great job putting this together. Do you know which type of player you are or what type you like playing against the most? This video is a good reminder of what a "good sport" is. ...

This is a classic example of what makes tennis fun. Granted this is an exhibition match. I've never seen any sport take a quick time out, pull a person, let alone 2 out of the crowd and invite them to play. Rafael Nadal and Juan Martin del Potro play at Madison Square Garden for the BNP Paribas Showdown back in 2013. Nadal decides he wants to pull actor Ben Stiller from the crowd. To get even, Juan decides he wants some help too. ...
