Ride and K2 Snowboards” width=”590″ height=”442″ />2011 Ride and K2 Snowboards are in! I know you are just ready for June-uary to end and the sun to come out but we are always looking forward to the next snow season!
Over the past few years K2 and Ride have been pushing the limits in board design.
From board shape and rocker design to getting creative with high tech carbon laminates and sidewall materials we can’t say enough about these northwest natives. Both lines pick up a few new boards for 2011 and added a bunch of new features to some of their already killer rides.
Here are a few highlights that we are pretty stoked about. Each board from both of these companies are just jam packed with features so come on in and check them out! Also look for them to be up on the new Sturtevant’s web store soon!
K2 Turbo Dream – the dream only gets better
A hard charging favorite only gets better this year. This All Terrain Rocker all-mountain ripper picks up K2’s Harshmellow to smooth out the burly ride. Wille Yli-Luomo put in some time with the brains at K2 to make this bad cat handle anything.
K2 Raygun- NEW
A all new addition to the K2 line up builds on the success of the Turbo’s All Terrain Rocker on a budget even you can afford. A solid snappy and responsive ride makes this a great intermediate board and at $349 you really cant beat it.
K2 Lunatique
Last years Luna picks up a syllable and a whole new design. All Terrain Rocker lets you go anywhere. Directional, light and playful make this a sweet board for the upper beginner to intermediate girl.
K2 WWW
World Wide Weapon is K2′s go to burly park board. The board comes with Jib Rocker and Jib Tip keeping it nice and buttery. A cool feature about this board comes in the topsheet which is made of Diecut ptex. Yup, just like the bottom, making it tough as nails.
Ride DH2
Built for the advanced rider, the DH2 is a shop favorite. Absolutely packed with features and tech it includes Pop Rods and Carbon Stringers for a really snappy, poppy all mountain charger.
Highlife – NEW
Replacing the Yukon that has held up the pow side of the deal for a while, the Highlife is directional, with lots of tip rocker and a stiff flat tail for destroying the backcountry.
Ride Antic
The all new Antic adds to its epic all-mountain still with the addition of rocker. A nice LowPro tip combined with a solid stable tail makes this thing the perfect intermediate to advanced board for killing anything on the hill including the park.
